To write - "what does joy mean?" Well, it's a 13th Century word and means:
1 a : the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires : delight b : the expression or exhibition of such emotion : gaiety
2 : a state of happiness or felicity : bliss
3 : a source or cause of delight
To photograph - something that represents joy? Well, if that's "possessing what one desires" then I'll come back to that tomorrow.
To do - post first batch of Xmyth cards & Secret Santa present. Buy some choccies for the crackers. Eat the rest of them. Buy some nibbles for tomorrow's birthday. Have a bath.
To make - my own dinner, because it's Thursday!!!
Ooo, look! We have to recall some holiday joy today. My favourite holiday? Well, it's a toss up between the Road Trip I took with my Dad last year, the Macbeth tour to India / China with the Anglian Shakespeare Company, or my visit to Rebecca-Anne in Australia. Choices, choices...
Oh, did you mean "Christmas" when you said "Holiday"? Ah.
We did have a very nice Christmas one year when we ran away from home and stayed in a cottage on a farm. Open fire, cows mooing, bright and sunny Christmas day, long walk, a lovely pub for a drink and failing to make custard in a microwave - they were pretty new-fangled at the time.
