Counterfeit Kit Challenge - April

My first time playing along and this is what I've pulled from my stash. Turns out I don't have many items with birds on, but I've included a few. I did have all the For the Record papers, so I've just put them in there rather than counterfeiting them.

Not a big fan or user of ribbons, so I'm using this as a chance to use up some of the little scrappy pieces I have.

As I normally scrap by manufacturer (unless I'm using a kit) I think I might find this a little tricky. For instance, I've pulled the three For the Record papers that are included in the Real Kit, which means I will be using those three pieces up and the rest of the For the Record collection will be sitting there, not being used up.

I'll go back to the rest of the papers some day and three of the sheets will be chopped up more than the rest, they won't have had equal use.

OK. I'm aware that I'm strange!

LOL we all have our own way of scrapping - as most of my stash is bought in sales I rarely have a whole collection to draw upon! Great looking kit though - looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

Interesting selection of stash - it will do you good not to just scrap by manaufacture. I look forward to the results/

I wouldn't worry about having some leftover pieces from your collection. I'm fairly certain you'll be able to use them in a future counterfeit kit! I'm using tons of stuff that I never would have had the courage to use up :)

Hope you enjoy the challenge x

I TOTALLY understand your paper delima, but as a fellow "strange" person...it is okay to use them not in their original set. LOL There. I said it. Give it a try...I bet you will LOVE it! And is that OWL fabric I spy?

I used to scrap just by manufacturer, but I found that I was able to really find my own style once I starting mixing collections. I bet you will find it freeing! Beautiful kit-and I am very jealous that you had the entire For the Record collection in your stash, lol. ;)

I have everything sorted by mfg in my little scrap nook too. But by doing this each month, I find that I am better able to mix & match patterns easier and get out of my little mfg rut. Plus, alot of times I buy 2 of a sheet, then I have one leftover and nothing to do with it so this uses it up!

Love the fabric - cute. Great stuff you've pulled together. I enjoy scrapping by manufacturer sometimes too; but inevitably I can't use everything up. So the kit approach helps with the leftovers.

We are probably all strange to others. Fun to see how everyone approaches this hobby in their own way. Great kit!

Pretty fabric. I typically don't mix up my manufacturer's either...it came from being on a DT for over 2 years and we had to use what they gave us. However, these days I am finding that I love mixing up my papers....it's freeing. Does that make me MORE weird? LOL/1 Great kit!

Great kit Laura, happy scrapping!

That's a great looking kit! What I found hard was that I had already bought and used up my For The Record papers, so I ended up going in a totally different direction.
