I've been stroking this paper for a while, but it was time to take the craft knife to it.
Two photos stuck together so that we're sat side by side on the train with the Giraffe in the middle! At the last minute I remembered to stick the ticket onto the layout. I'm very good at keeping stuff and thinking "when I scrap this event I'll use this ephemera" and then forgetting all about it. I have loads of bits in folders, but all the good pictures have been scrapped. :( Still, this time, I remembered!I'm about three weeks pregnant at this point and paranoid about everything, but the sickness has yet to attack. I look happy rather than queasy! 
In Bath on December 27th. All the shops we wanted to see were still closed after Christmas, so we ended up just having a nice lunch in Cafe Rene. At least, it used to be called Cafe Rene and isn't anymore. Can't think of its proper name!Both are very loosely based on layouts in the first PageMaps book.
Made this for our inter-team mojo jar challenge. I wasn't doing them whilst I was mojoless, but now it's back and I'm playing again! My challenge was to make my own embellies, so I've made some buttons from matching papers and Glossy Accents.These were my third attempt. The first ones were destroyed when I put my diary down on them whilst they were drying and the second batch were ruined when I put my ribbon jar lid down on them. I really am hopeless at remembering I have GA drying.My DH rescued this third batch by hiding them from me!Oh, and this LO is also for Susi, who says I scrap my Dad more than I scrap my Husband... which is probably true because Daddy poses when a camera is pointed at him and John doesn't!
Just a couple of layouts from last Christmas to use up some more of the beautiful Pink Paislee Mistletoe & Co. paper
This one was for the current Weekly Challenge at UKS. Had to use ribbon, bling, journalling. To scrap a picture of something other than a person and use a sketch. I chose to use the latest Pencil Lines Sketch, #171. The photo is of our "preparation" table. It held all the overspill of food, napkins etc.This next one has nothing to do with any challenge or any sketch, which is a bit rare for me as I love to work off a sketch. What I wanted to do was to use up the large die cut without cutting it up, but it looked a little odd set on a piece of 12x12 cardstock, so I cut the card to match the diecut.
Then I just threw layers at it until I came up with something I liked! So it's still a 12x12 and I even managed to gut the paper a bit so I have some scallop edges left over after all.

Took this picture during the December snows. Made for the lastest Twisted Sketches. The twist was "glitter", which doesn't show up here at all well, sadly. Still, I used a glitter button, some gems and the chipboard elements are all very glittery.
This week's UKS Challenge entry.The challenge was to use the sketch, ribbon and a celebration theme. So I chose a photo of my Dad celebrating Christmas with some Leffe.
The tree is down for another year. Oh, hang on a sec. We're already in a New Year. We'll soon be out buying another tree. I suppose we'll have to start thinking about Xmyth and trees in about 10 months time. Just after Halloween is over. The year is only made up of Eggs. Pumpkins. Trees. I gave up on the whole Holidays in Hand thing, but I did get this final layout out done of my new Santa Marionette dancing around our kitchen tap!

It's a bit odd that we have to write about holiday cards when they've been arriving since the beginning of December and they're being taken down next week! I even had a card come this afternoon. I keep holiday cards from John and from my parents, but none of the others. Although I might keep some of the handmade ones this year! ;)Not taken any pictures for today yet, maybe later, then I can get the layout done.
I totally forgot to take pictures today, so there's no Layout! Horrors!"Home" means "Bristol". I never moved growing up, so I think of my childhood house as home. It was lovely this year, though, to have Christmas in the home I actually live in and to have people come to us.
I'm not sure I have a favourite present this year. They were all lovely as most of them came from my wishlist! I did get The Bettany's of Taverton High, which I've wanted for ages and the first three episodes of Doctor Who, the actual first three with William Hartnell.
I don't seem to be giving quite so much to this project now, do I?!

Well, isn't that a vomit-inducing quote today?!I actually forgot all about this on Boxing Day and only took the one photo, which features on today's layout. However, the prompt today is rather apt for the photo!The decorations will stay up until the 12th day of Christmas. As is Traditional. OMG!!! I actually used the word "tradition"! Augh!
On the 22nd we did our shopping. So here are the spuds. Some of them. The rest are called Rudolph and are red!
Playing with the manual setting on the camera while John cooked, I quite like the blurry bits.
To Write - No stockings are hung as we have nowhere to hang them. The sorts of things I get for John aren't really stocking sized. He does have a stocking shaped like a paw that I sometimes put things in, but this year, as we're home, everything is going under the tree. I used to get a stocking as a child, but again, nowhere to hang it, so it went at the foot of my bed. I can see that there might be stocking traditions if you have offspring, so we'll just have to wait and see.To Photograph - I have some stocking tree decorations, so perhaps I'll attempt a photo of them when I get home later.To Do - I actually have things to do today for a wonder. Gilbert Gobbler our Christmas Turkey will be ready for collection at 3pm. I also need to wash the cushion covers and the sofa throw. The bathroom needs to be cleaned to a better shine (I did a rough clean yesterday) and the windows need washing.To Make - Spiced rock cakes for the freezer.Layout to follow.

From this Starting Point. I shouldn't have used the strip of penguins, they were awfully hard to work with and I don't know why I inked the edges in green. What was I thinking?!
From this Starting Point. This one is beginning to grow on me. The envelope is from my Valentine this year! Recycle recycle! I joined up a series of Adam-Unwrapping-Huge-Present and tucked them into the envelope. GA'd all the chipboard again - needs to be shinier.
