Massive Weekly Challenge Catch-Up!

I did get all these done on time, but my lack of mojo and general enthusiasm has meant me not taking the pictures in time and getting them loaded onto UKS. So here are a bunch of layouts for weekly challenges taken yesterday in rather dodgy light!


Baby Blue / 3 of Something / Bunting / Celebration
Last Christmas with both sets of Parentals.

Me as a child. I was able to use up a lot of bits of Crate Paper - Blue Hill that I've had lying around for ages.


Guilty Pleasure / Chocolate Brown / Circle
John and I indulging in morning tea at Little Bettys in York. I saved one of the doily things that go under tea cups to catch the drips - gotta love emphemera. Also managed to use one of the beautiful Lakeland doilies that I've been stroking for a while.

Used some of the skeleton leaves that Daddy found for me at a boot sale. :)


Panorama / Stamping / Altered Lettering
This one is actually current! Grand Canyon from North Rim. Stamped journalling boxes and painted thickers.

Pensford

More catching up. My parents and I took a trip to Pensford - I think it was last year! - these are the layouts for that trip:

The tour bus - we had free cereal bars afterwards as Pensford is owned by Jordans, the cereal bar people.

Balloons and Food

Wow! I actually did a layout because I wanted to rather than doing it for a class or a challenge. Obviously I want to do all the layouts I make, but I always seem to be catching up wth the things on UKS (especially now in Cyber Crop season!) and at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. Anyway, this is yet another layout for my Road Trip album.


When I saw this balloon I knew it was just asking to be scrapped and this was the best shot that I managed to get of it - they don't all fly into perfect positions, sadly!

The plan with this was to use up as many of the bits and pieces that I had left over from buying kits which had a lot of Crate Paper, Blue Hill in them. There are a couple of other papers in there, but it is mainly Crate. All I have left now are a few chipboard flowers and some die-cut embellies - they take up a lot less space. :)

I need to try this trick with a few other collections that I have.

Then I made this to add to my Recipe Collection:


I've been wanting to use this cookie paper for a while now, but couldn't think of a decent cookie recipe to use - so I haven't. This is a recipe for Marzipan & Mincemeat Apples. It's very simple, and probably will only be used once a year when I have leftover mincemeat to use up, but now it's scrapped and to hand in my recipe album.

It's also yesterday's entry for the UKS Cyber Crop Daily Challenge - to use eyelets. This features a couple so I'm counting it. :)

I made this for the first challenge on Cleo Crafts blog. I took it in evening sunlight, so it's cast some long shadows!

Birthdays

This is my entry to the latest Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge - Birthday Bliss.

The journalling explains how my friends and I live in different parts of the country now so we celebrate our birthdays on whichever day we can. This birthday meeting was in January - someway between Martina's in November and Hannah's in March!

Made this for Pencil Lines #102. My Dad and OH in the Cambridge Botanical Garden. Used bits of Doodlebug, Crate Paper, Bazzill and Prima flowers.

My take on Vanessa's class for the Scrummy Stash Cafe. I'm not completely happy with it as brackets and wiggly journalling aren't something I'd usually do, but it's good to shake it up a bit.

This is for Vanessa's Multilingual Challenge at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. I've managed a bit of Italian journalling as well because I thought the title was a bit of a cop-out as it's just the name of a building!

Still using up my Crate Paper, Blue Hill.

I've used Crate Paper Blue Hill and my paints are acrylics rather than the watercolours that Maria used - so my clouds are a lot brighter!

Made this for Angie's Challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog. The challenge was to use eyelets and I've never used this many eyelets on one layout before!

Me

Created for Maria's Challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog. The challenge was to create a project that described you in 5 words. I chose to do a LO and the words I have chosen are Geek, Bookworm, Student, Geology and Collector.

Used Crate Paper, Blue Hill and this is the first time that I have painted on chipboard. Messy!

Rain @ Pensthorpe

This one is for Angie's Class on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog. Her class involved paper piercing, which I'd not tried before. Usually when I pierce paper it's to give my stitching a starting-point. It doesn't show up too well in the picture, but I became a little carried away and pierced the flower as well as the outside edge of the cardstock, the scallops and the patterned paper. :)

Duck @ Pensthorpe

Created this layout for Rachael's Class at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. The class was all about adding depth and dimension. I didn't have any sequin waste so I stamped my background on using bubble wrap! Used 7 Gypsies and Crate Paper, Blue Hill papers.

(I think the duck is a Ruddy Duck, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

Created this layout for the latest challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog - use chipboard! This has a chipboard swirl and some chipboard buttons.


The picture was taken way back in 2003 on a trip to Venice with some friends. At the time I didn't even make up photo albums, so this picture has just been filed away in a box, unused, never looked at. So I'm planning on taking a bunch of shots from this trip and making up some layouts. Today I have also made this:
