Evil Stare!

The final picture in the series of me eating peas, drinking Ribena and looking evil. Made this one for Shimelle's Colour Challenge - to use coloured pens. Very glad I forked out for a bunch in my last Hobbycrafts shop.

Party Time yet?

The challenge on UKS this week was to scrap the preparation or aftermath of a celebration. Well, I never take before or afters of parties / celebrations so I had to think outside the old box for this one. One day we'll be having two housewarming parties, so I guess we're currently in a very lengthy party preparation at the moment.

This is my layout:

Also have included pink, minimal journalling and used one of the sketches.

Forde Abbey - again

Another layout with this months Sarah's Cards kit and another picture of Forde Abbey! It was really photogenic, so all the pictures couldn't be helped.

I've also used this layout for one of the days in Shimelle's Colour Challenge. "Try cutting motifs from sheets of gift-wrap or scrapbooking paper and decorating with gems to make cards or embellish layouts." The challenge was actually for PJs or paper, but there was no way I was going to carry that off!

Maya Road Bird Book

Thought that I wouldn't just make layouts from this months Sarah's Cards kit, so I used some of it to make this Bird Book. I've not photographed all of it as the pictures I used are old slide scans of me as a Little Person and they're already pretty fuzzy!

I didn't bother with loads of journalling, mainly because I don't need it, but also because I just couldn't make it fit. Besides, I can't even remember where I am in most of these pictures!

I'm also using this Bird Book for one of Shimelle's Colour Challenges - to use acrylic paint. The covers, edges and lots of the chipboard elements have been acrylic'd.

Sarah's Cards - June Kit

The new kit arrived yesterday morning and rather than stroking it like I did last month, I cut into it as soon as I came home from work and made my first three layouts from it.

John and I took our Melman the Giraffe puppet to Paris in May - so I have loads of pictures of him "standing" in front of various landmarks. Luckily his fur matches the kit, so:

Finally I'm scrapping the picture of the brilliant Sam Adams bottles. Well, the bottles are just bottles, but their ex-contents were brilliant! I took the pic deliberately to scrap it at some point and even kept the caps for that purpose.

I'm not so convinced by this one, all the frames within frames and only using one paper and one sheet of Bazzill. Anyway, this is one of the pictures that John took in the Musee D'Orsay, his favourite painting by Manet.

Still have plenty of kit left!

White or Light!

The Colour Challenge for June 19th is for white and light colours - so I've gone for some New Year frost.

Blue Picnic

It's Blue Day on the Colour Challenge, so here is my father assigning mugs on a picnic at Muchelney Abbey.

It's a Grey Day...

... with shadows and black for the June 17th Colour Challenge!

I had to take this picture leaning up against wall as we're so short of decent light in this place at the moment.

La Goulue

Very surprisingly you are allowed to take pictures in lots of the museums in Paris, so I made sure I took a few of the highlights!

This is the Reddy, Rosey, Pinky day for the Colour Challenge.

Bunny Hunting Day of Green

The Green Day at the Colour Challenge. John goes hunting for rabbits at Forde Abbey in Dorest over Easter weekend. Thanks to his dilligence we won a creme egg!

Paris & Cones

Used the new papers that I bought in Pocklington on the day we picked up our new-old table. I've not used My Little Yellow Bicycle before and they're scrummy! The ones on this Paris layout are Love Letters.

I'm quite fond of this, so I bought a 12x12 frame for it. We don't have pics of ourselves anywhere, so this will solve that problem.

This next one is from an Easter walk with my parents. Mother collected a bunch of cones for a display. John wouldn't take the one with the lichen on away from its environment.

The flowers are some old cheapy things that I don't like any more. I almost threw them out, but decided to repaint them to match the layout.

Colour Challenge - 4

Another Colour Challenge layout. I chose to use the colour wheel to make a layout using the analogous combination.

I've also stopped trying to resize things to perfect squares, so now I'm just going to lean them up against something and take their picture! When the house is finished and we have all our stuff back, I'm going to prop them on John's little easel and photograph them on that instead.

Colour Challenge - 3

For this challenge we had to spin the colour wheel and base the layout on the colours that appeared. This is my layout:

I took a screen capture of the colours that appeared - and forgot to save them. I promise that they were pinky / greeny / and bright blue.

Colour Challenge - 1

Some of my UKS teamies are doing Shimelle's colour challenge and whether or not I do all of them remains to be seen - but this is the first one. Scrapbook your favourite colour.

Well, my favourite colour is purple, but it doesn't suit me as a colour to wear, although sometimes I just can't help it and I can never find decent paper scrapping supplies in that colour, so I never use it.

But I do have a nice digi kit in purples, Vicki Parker's Vineyard.
