Family

Layout for Scrummy Stash Cafe Saturday Class. I didn't have all the bits (no ricrac or acetate), nor have I ever ripped a photo or used so many buttons before - but I enjoyed putting it together, especially the flowers. :)

The Flight Home

Took this on the way home from either New York or Boston - I can't remember now. Based on PencilLines sketch #91.

I've been trying to use up some of my older papers rather than always using K&Co and mainly using their glorious Wild Saffron... *sigh*... Anyway, I used PaperMania for this. Not my favourite paper company, but not too bad after it's covered in blooms, buttons and ribbons!

Digital Layouts

I'm still trying to decide how I feel about digital scrapbooking. I know that I prefer getting covered in glue and bits of scrap paper to being glued to the pc screen. On the other hand they're a good way of sending your layouts to other people, especially to people who don't scrap and are confused by what it is. They do make a nice change from e-cards as they are easy to personalise.

Last night I did five layouts in digital while my OH was busy watching the football. I suppose I could have vanished into my "craft room" and done a few paper versions instead, but I was quite curious to see if Spain would be able to beat Germany, so I stayed and digiscrapped.

Here's a few of them:

Wet Day at Blenheim Palace

This is my take on PencilLines.com sketch #90.

I oversharpened this one when I saved it, which is a shame, but this was the first time I had ever added hand-stitching to a layout.

Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

This isn't anything to do with Scrapbooking, but it does star Nathan Fillion (yum) who I have previously used as a scrapbooking subject. Besides, Joss Whedon told us to link to it anywhere we could - so I am. Who am I to refuse the Great Joss Whedon?

A Few Hours in Maine

On our trip back to Boston from New Hampshire we decided to take a detour and visit a new State. We got a little lost, but eventually ended up in Maine - although I have no idea whereabouts in Maine this actually is, we fell off the map! Somewhere near the border though.

There was a nice man selling ice creams and this lovely beach, so it was very picturesque, even if I have no idea where it is.

Obligatory First Post

I'm going to use this Blog to post my Scrapbooking Layouts. However, it does seem to still have the same "About Me" at the side that I use for my Earth Science blog. How do I change that?!
